We are happy to announce our coming release of A.B.C’s Little Books on Bees. These affordable and accessable little book series will cover the following topics:

Little Book on Bees: Gardening at home for Bees. 

This book in the series will focus on:

  • Info about gardening for pollinators specifically tailored to Alberta
  • Easy planting guides for the new gardener, and more detailed list for the enthusiasts
  • Planting guides catered for tricky locations including container, shade, and full sun garden spots

Little Book on Bees: Community Gardening  for Bees

This part of the series will focus on:

  • Info about gardening for pollinators specifically tailored to Alberta
  • Easy planting guides for the new gardener, and more detailed list for the enthusiasts
  • Planting guides catered for tricky locations, schools and school programming and community spaces

Little Book on Bees: Bumble Bees

This part of the series will focus on:

  • How to spot a bumble bee
  • Common native bumble bee listings for Alberta
  • Ideal habitat for bumble bees
  • Building artificial nesting sites
  • Water sources assessing your yard for bee habitat
  • Simple garden rules for bumble bees

Little Book on Bees: Solitary Bees

This part of the series will focus on:

  • How to spot a solitary bee
  • Common native bee listings for Alberta
  • Ideal habitat for solitary bees
  • Building artificial nesting sites
  • Water sources assessing your yard for bee habitat
  • Simple garden rules for bumble bees

We are looking forward to releasing this book series this March both as an online version and in printed format available both on the A.B.C website as well as at Seedy Saturday Calgary 2015! Stay tuned as we release more details as time passes.
