Community Hive Honey Bee Purchase 2017

835

Every year, since 2010, we have organized a Collaborative Purchase of Honeybees and Equipment, and each year it has been an astounding success. We double in the number of colonies of bees we bring in annually as well as the quantity of equipment purchased. The 2017 season is going to be like 2016 in that we are NOT going to organize to Collaborative Purchase of Equipment. We ARE still going to organize the purchase of honey bees though, looking to bring in another 100 nucleus colonies in for 2017.  For more information, please go to http://abcbees.ca/chcp/

So, you want bees in 2017, either as a beginner or to expand or replace your bees. That’s awesome! Our priority is to

  • Get the best Canadian bees to hobby or small-scale beekeepers
  • Make sure that those committed to offering the highest care to the bees receive them
  • The flow of education, mentorship, and community are supported by our participants

We have developed a system to ensure that these priorities occur in our Collaborative Purchase of honeybees annually. We are bringing in up to 150 colonies in 2017 and we are eager and excited to engage YOU and help you meet your beekeeping goals.
