A.B.C was called in for an emergency removal: honeybees had taken up residence in a local retired beekeepers house! It’s not that they were unwanted; it’s just that they weren’t wanted there. So, after some organizing, Eliese of A.B.C began working on removing the bees. It wasn’t too much work: the bees were about 15 feet off the ground hidden in the space between the roof and the dining room ceiling, accessing the space through a gap in the roofs woodworking. So, in I went, with hammer and crowbar intact, to pry open the space and remove the bees. After opening up the space and removing the comb, the bees were gently vacuumed out with a homemade bee-vac.
