Our Philosophy

Why we do what we do in beekeeping

“Community is the heart of our business, and we focus our time and energies in to connecting with compassionate beekeepers and pollinator stewards to ensure that conservation remains on top priority.

Passion for our bees and a passion in supporting beekeepers. We want beekeepers to embrace bee husbandry as a positive aspect of their life, where a passion for learning and growth never stops.

There are no mistakes in beekeeping, only opportunities to learn and expand the understandings of the natural world.

Our commitment to lifelong learning and embracing the “true beginner” experience. Its not the destination that drives us as beekeepers or educators, but the journey and the relationships made along the way.

As an organization, we approach beekeeping in an unconventional way. It is important to meet our students, clients, and audience where they are, both in skill and physical location. Because of this we must be fluid in our creativity to explore future potentials.

We will always remain inclusive and accessible space for beginner beekeepers. With those in mind, we encourage open conversations, asking the hard questions, and exploring unknown territories. There is a natural next step and a courageous next step; the courageous step is always the right one.

We believe in sharing. There is nothing that is taught by us that isn’t available on our website. We harbor no secrets. We want all beekeepers to thrive and grow.

Training beekeepers, not just offering education. Training is when you try something and receive feedback. Therefore, we want to be an active part of the learning curve for beekeepers.

We value our ability to be supportive. That is why we believe that fulfilling the values of passion and creativity can only be achieved through working in a supportive community.

Environmental stewardship is our priority and we are committed to conducting our business in harmony with nature. That is why we use treatment-free beekeeping practices and integrate sustainability into every decision we make in our apiary and in our online business.”
