Fairmont Palliser Hotel staff beekeeping in 2012

With the growing support of local food on menus throughout the city, are you looking for a unique product that is unique to your restaurant or business?

And what if this product supported community development initiatives and ecological sustainability?

And what if someone made marketing this product and your business easy, doing most of the work for you, would you participate?

About us…

A.B.C (Apiaries a582174_386259051434371_800672246_nnd Bees for Communities) is a Calgary based urban beekeeping initiative. Starting up in 2010, A.B.C is focused on developing educational and mentorship opportunities for urbanites to get engaged in beekeeping practices. Teaching 200+ new beekeepers, selling out over 40 unique programs, and collaborating with organizations like the Calgary Zoo, Calgary Horticultural Society, the Community Garden Resource Network and others, A.B.C has brought over 200 colonies of bees in to Calgary. A.B.C is eager to see sustainable beekeeping practices permeate from the heart of the city by making Calgarians aware of the importance of pollinators and encourage their continued support of urban apiary development.

Why we should work together…387012_415020815224861_51324528_n

A.B.C is a reliable and reputable business in connecting individuals in the creation of The Hive Mentality in Calgary communities. By working with us, your business will not only own your own colonies of honeybees, receive 100% of the honey surplus, but also be accessing the already growing craze of urban beekeeping here in Calgary. With only 20 colonies available for private management through this 2013 project, this is a unique opportunity for your business to reap the benefits of engaging with urban beekeeping with no work at all! And to top it all off, we don’t even have to keep the bees on your premises if you don’t want us to. A.B.C will organize your colonies (painted in your business colours and with your logo on them) to be kept privately within the community where they will be used in educational programming and mentorship opportunities for fledging beekeepers! What could be easier?
