2024 Queen Sales
After 15 years of queen production, we have moved our queen program in to the city! Our queen rearing apiary is now a training ground for queen rearing education. With field days, bootcamps, and our very own Prairie Queen Breeders Club, we are ensuring that not only are we producing amazing queen stocks, but we are ensuring that more beekeepers are learning the skills necessary to rear their own queens.

About the Program
Through our micro-loaning system, we pay Sweetacre Apiaries up front 80% of the cost of the nucs, and in return, Bill has supplied bees on schedule and in pristine quality for over a decade. We here at ABC Bees, provide the inspections, transport, communication, and education to support our purchasers with the confidence to keep these wonderful bees.
About the Program
We have developed a system to ensure that these priorities occur in our Collaborative Purchase of honey bees annually. We are bringing in 300 nucleus colonies in 2023 and we are eager and excited to engage YOU and help you meet your beekeeping goals.

Pay for your bees
After your invoice is emailed to you, you have 10-days to pay it via etransfer, check, or credit card.
Provincial Apiculturalist Zoom Call
All bee purchasers will receive an invitation in May to a Zoom call with Alberta’s Apiculture Team to learn about IPM, seasonal industry concerns, and Q&A session. Date TBD.
Nuc Delivery Calgary
Bee deliveries will be at Highfield Regenerative Farm, in Calgary.
The times will be disclosed closer to the bee distribution date. Scheduling of pick-ups will also be sent out.
Nuc Delivery Red Deer and Edmonton
Bee deliveries will be made at hub locations in both of these cities. These locations and times will be disclosed closer to the bee distribution date. Scheduling of pick-ups will also be sent out.
